From: "Dr. Natan Ophir" <natan21@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Subject: Eustress Response to Judi Granit about Stress on Matkonet Eustress can be defined as a pleasant or curative stress. Distress is the most commonly-referred to type of stress, having negative implications, whereas eustress is a positive, desirable form of stress. The prefix from the Greek eu means "well" or "good", so when attached to "stress", it is "good stress". For more see Hans Selye, Stress without Distress (1974)
