Dear Fellow Teachers,
Aiming to fire 15,000 veteran teachers implies that the teachers are the reason
for the poor education in Israel. One of the aims of the Dovrat Report is to
raise the status and image of the teaching profession. However, aiming to fire
15,000 veteran teachers implies that we are the cause and core of the problems
of education in Israel. It will take many years for the teaching profession to
recover from such a humiliating blow.
In another light,we know how hard we work for our pupils' successes...so good
luck and hopefully, fair tests to all of us and our students on Tuesday's
bagrut.
