*Omer Shomrony *
*for *
*"An Operatic Celebration" *
*A guided musical exploration into a selection of beautiful arias and duets
from operas and musicals. These will be presented by fabulous video
recordings of some of the today's finest operatic soloists. A sheer
pleasure for the beginning of a new year!*
Omer Shomrony is a prominent critic and lecturer of classical music. He
currently contributes to Opus Magazine and the Jerusalem Post, and had
previously worked for the Globes Business Daily and various radio and TV
programs.
A sought-after lecturer since 1999, Omer Shomrony has developed and taught
a variety of music appreciation courses. He is a faculty member at the
Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at the Tel-Aviv University, and also teaches
on various colleges of continuing studies.
During the last decade Omer Shomrony has been planning, directing and
leading specialized music tours to selected classical music venues in
Europe. These have included the Bach Festival in Leipzig, the Beethoven
Festival in Bonn, the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland, the Berlin Easter
Festival, the Salzburg Festival, and many others.
