**** ETNI on the web http://www.etni.org.il http://www.etni.org ****

I received a letter from Judy Steiner today.
I was extremely disappointed by her replies (or lack of replies) to many of the
points that our letter brought up.
Judy claims that the sample tests provided in the NBA Handbook were fair
example that adequately prepared the students for the exam. I refute this
claim in the stongest possible manner.
In addition, some questions were definitely interdependent. For example, if a
student answered the famous question on module E with sentimental, his
subsequent answer was also incorrect.
A test is valid (so I learnt when I was at university) when it has been tested
on a large, varied population of the proposed testees. This was definitely not
the case here and it is also practically impossible to do so with bagrut
examinations.
Therefore, the committee decided on the correct answers has to be far more
careful in being flexible about absolutely discounting controversial answers.
I have faxed the letter to etni and it should be posted soon.

I have worked very hard for our cause because I believe that a great injustice
has been done. I need advice and assistance. I am, therefore, calling on
teachers to contact me if they are willing to help.
Where's there's a will, there's a way. I have the will and I'm determined to
find the way, and I will.

Nina
