Subject: seeking library books for new Bedouin school - ORT Al Atrash
Hi Everyone,
ORT Al Atrash is a new Bedouin school in the Negev with a brand new
library in the making. There is not 1 English language book at present
to put on the shelves. The principal has budgeted a book order which
is "in progress" but this is only a drop in the sea.
Does anyone know of any "amutot"/organizations that might be
interested in helping the school get on its "library feet". Books for
Israel has helped me in the past but things have slowed down on that
front.
The Ministry includes extensive reading in the curriculum and that is
great, but where are we supposed to get books for the kids? There's no
public library available.
Your help and input welcome.
