unless i didn't understand it, this report is ridiculous. they have
Night by Wiesel (4th on the list) at a 4.8 grade level. maybe that is
right re the vocabulary, but not at all as regards the content. and
the same goes for most of the other books on the list. content is at
least as important as vocab when deciding the level of a book. and
unless American 4th and 5th graders have become much more mature in
the last few years, i don't see most of them reading and appreciating
a lot of the books on this list.
