The Haredi-bashing, besides being repugnant, reveals the pathetic need for a scapegoat -- however irrelevant the particular scapegoat might be. (Note the logical fallacy: Haredim aren't even tested, so they're clearly not responsible for the country's low international standing!) To be sure, Haredi education has its problems, but their system is not plagued by the ills that are responsible for the slow demise of the institutions in the majority of the country. An intellectually honest, introspective article would have examined the real problems within the major segment of the population, without implying that the "fringe" elements -- Haredim, immigrants, Arabs, etc., are the cause for failure.
