Subject: new bagrut date
As per Laurie's suggestion, I wrote to Judy Steiner about our conflict with
the new Bagrut date, and she replied immediately and forwarded my letter to
the ministry. If there are other schools with a conflict, please write to
Judy so that she is aware of the problem and can hopefully help us all find
a solution.
In the meantime, we have told our pupils that we may not be doing the winter
Bagrut, and instead they will take 2 modules in the summer. They are quite
distressed and uneasy with this - but they also know how fortunate they are
to have the opportunity to go on the 'masa yisraeli' trip. This trip will
not only be a highlight of their school years, but something they will look
back on the rest of their lives.
I want to thank Judy for her prompt response, and I really hope that the MOE
will come up with a solution for us.
