Subject: A pedagogical poem
In response to Laurie's request for comments on the article on private
schools in Ha'aretz, I have just one thing to say.
I think each kid needs to find the school that works for him/her. At
Himmelfarb High School in Jerusalem where I have been privileged to work
myself and educate three of my children, we have a lot of satisfied
customers. This despite the fact that the staff is not necessarily " young
and well-paid," as at Tichon Tel Aviv.
We do have a great devotion to teaching and learning on both sides, them
and us, and it seems to work.
