I gave my 9th grade native speakers a few mind benders / language games
as a lesson filler and they loved them - deciphering things like
YYUR, YYUB, ICUR YY4me = Too wise you are, too wise you be, I see you
are too wise for me,
or ___O____
B.A. Ph.D = 2 degrees below zero.
Who has more in the same spirit?
(I promised a candy bar to the pupils who either bring in new ones or
the first to decipher these...)
