Drop in students' English grades
Jerusalem Post - August 17, 2004
Israeli students' average grades in English have dropped in the past two
years, with test marks of 8th graders in Jewish schools showing a drop
of 7 percent and in non-Jewish schools 12%. Among 5th graders, Jewish
students showed a 2% drop in the pass rate to 74, but the non-Jewish
pupils gained 5% to a 70 pass rate, according the annual Mizav report
on school education, published on Tuesday.
