I think* The Phantom Tollbooth* is suitable for that age range. I enjoyed this book when I was a kid. You can read the Wikipedia article about it at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Phantom_Tollbooth There is a very nice interview with the author, Norton Juster, at http://www.underdown.org/juster.htm Of course, the instructor should get a copy of the annotated version by Leonard Marcus http://www.amazon.com/Annotated-Phantom-Tollbooth-Norton-Juster/dp/037585715X and/or the classroom guide http://www.amazon.com/Guide-Phantom-Tollbooth-Classroom-Literature/dp/1557344310/ref=pd_sim_b_5 A pdf of the book with illustrations is available at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2033458/Phantom_Tollbooth.pdf Best regards, Izzy 054-754-2744 = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = > > Date: Thu, 27 Feb 2014 10:19:46 +0200 > Subject: [etni] Books for religious boy's school > From: =?UTF-8?B?15PXldeT15kg15XXqtee15kg16LXoNeZ16E=?= <enis.dt@xxxxxxxxx> > > We teach in a religious boys' school up to 8th grade.
