Dear Sir or Madam,

I am pleased to announce the Fraser Institute?s upcoming student seminar in
Toronto. The free one-day event is being held at the Sheraton Centre Toronto
Hotel on Saturday, November 13, 2004.

Since 1988, these programs have encouraged thousands of students to explore
public policy issues through presentations and facilitated discussion groups.
Students bring with them a variety of viewpoints that add to the lively
discussion and debate throughout the day. Students also use the time to
network, interacting with Fraser Institute staff, the speakers, and their
peers. Full program details are available here:
www.fraserinstitute.ca/studentcentre/seminar.asp. A package of flyers has also
been sent to your office and should arrive shortly.

In addition to the outstanding program that is outlined on the flyer, I am
pleased to announce a very special guest speaker: Dr. Vaclav Klaus, President
of the Czech Republic. 2004 marks the 15th Anniversary of the fall of the
Berlin Wall, signalling the beginning of the race toward capitalism in the
former Soviet Union, and the countries in the Soviet Bloc. The people who
brought about this transition are amongst the most courageous people in
history, and one such person is Dr. Klaus. In addition to speaking at Fraser
Institute Round Table Luncheons in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto, Dr. Klaus
has agreed to give a presentation at the Toronto student seminar. This is an
event not to be missed!

Thanks to the sponsorship of the W. Garfield Weston Foundation, the seminar is
free, including lunch. Students at the seminar can win door prizes, and will
receive a complimentary one-year subscription to Fraser Forum, the Fraser
Institute?s monthly journal of public policy ($100 value).

I hope you will make this information available to students in your
organization. Would it be possible to circulate an email announcement to your
members? Please contact me anytime for more information.

Sincerely,
-Vanessa
