Well, neither config or cache file is relevant to a build or install process, 
as they're both created or updated at runtime. Some special treatment needed 
when uninstalling, I guess.

BTW, did any of you have any idea on the "debian" manpage 
.../debian-unofficial/emelfm2.1x ?
