I hoped that the warmer temps and south wind would bring in some nesting
migrants this AM, and it did.
Pair of Scarlet Tanagers
Pair of Rose-breasted Grosbeaks
Female Hummer ( joining the 2 males here)
Indigo Bunting male
Worm-eating Warbler male
Last to come will be Pewee, YB Cuckoo, and Acadian Flycatcher in mid-May.
Through migrants today- pair of Yellow-rumped warblers, Pine Siskin. Hope
many more species come through.
Already had our Hooded, B&W, BT Green, and Ovenbirds.
Plus Wood Thrush, REVireo, and BHVireo.
Our "new this year" perching Broadwing was here again this AM. Be great to
have a nesting pair!
Our 22 year round bird are adding to the chorus of songs. Bluebirds still
feeding nestlings as of this AM.
Yes, I am happy to have all these in our cove!
