[BRAC] Sightings at Lake Julian, Asheville - Surf Scoter, Horned Grebes

Hi all,

This afternoon I was able to track down a few of the unusual
sightings others had earlier in the day at Lake Julian.

A female Surf Scoter was hanging out near Redheads, Ring-necked
Ducks, and Buffleheads in the cove across from boat rental office.

Eventually I found 3 Horned Grebes all the way across the lake
towards the power plant. If they stay that distant, scope will
be required.

I could not find a Herring Gull; there were over a dozen Ring-billed
Gulls, eventually chased off by rowers.
