Hello All.
This is a bird discussion group and I'm surprised and happy that many of you
liked the comet post. Maybe it's because both birds and comets fly in the sky.
Close enough for me. And this one is a rare, rare green. Kinda like
seeing Black Rail. Go to Google Images and enter Comet ZTF
Alan asked about the comet's location. There are many comet tracker sites on
the web but most are geared towards star-heads. Below is the best chart I've
seen. On 2-6 and 2-7, look north, then go pretty much straight up until you
see a red star. That is Mars. And yes, it is red. Obviously Red. The comet
will be quite close to Mars. Look for a green smudge - visible to the naked
eye. A spotting scope or even 7X binoculars should resolve it into a nice
image. Fun Stuff.
