Hey…
Just an FYI…I just now called Brentwood Suites to cancel my room reservations
for March 24th & 25th. They asked if the Nashville Zoo had been notified of
the cancellation of the meeting?? I told the gal they had…she has referred me
to ‘accounting’…so it remains to be seen whether or not I will still be charged.
Joe…since you made the arrangements with Brentwood Suites perhaps an official
letter from you…or you contacting the hotel might expediate matters and avoid
confusion?? The front desk clerk could NOT cancel my reservations but instead
gave me this address to send my request to:
accounting@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Let me know what you find out.
Cheers!

Hey Everyone,
We are good with cancelling. Nothing more than sending a couple of emails out
on my end.
So, 'if' we decide to meet later in the year and 'if' it's at the zoo then I
would need a window of dates to pitch at our Events folks again. Fall/early
winter would probably be better but I don't mind checking any dates. Just
throwing that out.

Amy,
Thanks for making the quick decision, and I do think it is for the best. I
(like many of you I’m sure) are trying to decide on the severity of this, but
ultimately the university has decided for me. I imagine many others will have
the decision made for them as well. Just keep washing those hands!

Subject: [eloshwg] March meeting will be cancelled
Hi Folks,
Sorry, I have been out of the office for the last three hours and only now see
the messages.
I thought about this a lot yesterday and my own preference is to postpone the
meeting but to do as much as we can via webinar. I was planning on emailing
those on the agenda facilitating sections of the meeting to see which could
potentially go ahead as webinars. I was also going to wait to discuss all this
on our call tomorrow – not wanting to be jumping the gun or fear-mongering.
But, wow, it seems things are changing rapidly.
So, based on feedback to date, and forecasting as best possible, I think we
should postpone the meeting. I’ll get in touch with the Nashville Zoo to
confirm. I hope no one is stuck with travel expenses. I will get back to you as
soon as I can with suggestions for webinars etc.
Given this decision, I’m going to delay our call tomorrow back to the
originally scheduled time. This will give me a week to figure out webinars etc.
Let me know if there are questions.
Thanks,
Amy
