Same here and I've worked on quite a few cars. The other issue with top posts is that even with a semi sealed battery they still corrode badly. Never had a side post corrode though I have replaced terminals on lots of 2 year old chryslers, and imports cause they just corrode away and they use sheetmetal now instead of lead. I replace them with brass terminals and just make the hole in the batt cable connector a little bigger to fit.

I've never had it happen. I've really never seen a problem with a side-terminal battery, and that is counting several GM cars that all had one. I'm not saying it's never happened to others; maybe I've just been very lucky.---> Jared Ryan <--- jryan@xxxxxxxxxxxx | http://www.caminofx.org On Sep 27, 2009, at 2:20 PM, Dann Keller wrote:I can't resist..... and when you strip the screw out of the side post where do you put the clamp?Rules: Please play nicely with others. -List members page (text & pic links): http://www.myelcamino.net/eclist.htm -List members page (all pics): http://www.myelcamino.net/ec_list.htm No virus found in this incoming message.
