               No biggie. Just curious. The ones by the starter go through
a metal tube to protect them from the exhaust manifold. Even at that they
deteriorate and can still touch something and melt. And one runs up to the
alt and can get taken out too. I take the fuse panel feed wires that run to
the starter and reroute them directly to the battery. Eliminates allot of
problems and replace the fusible links with fuses that are easy to get to
and replace. 80s cars were not wired very well from the factory. Much
better these days but many harnesses have too short of wires and hard to
unplug stuff. A;;ot pf te terminals are pretty nice now too but are a bear
to unplug. Release all the locking tabs then find a way to pry the two
sides apart usually involving pliers cause they just don't come apart.
