Dear all,
Apologies for not responding. I regret to inform that I will not be able to
join the Skype call due to a pre-scheduled meeting. But I would like to jot
down some pointers that can be discussed during the call:
1. Nature of the group: whether it is a list serve or a network or a
collective?
I think we can easily move beyond the idea of list serve to a network. I am
not sure if we can call ourselves a collective yet since so far we have not
discussed any common objective or aim we want to achieve and/or a common
approach we believe in.
This, in my opinion, will not preclude members from initiating collective
actions facilitated by this forum but endorsed on individual capacity.
2. Membership: I really hope that all 44 of us share our information that
will make this group go beyond a list serve. It can also help in
collaborative research, learning abd sharing.
3. Group name: On a quick search, I found out that there is or are already
some group (s) with the name elaw. Some members of this group are based in
India. Hence, it will be great if we can give ourselves an unique identity.
May I also request if the minutes of the meeting can be circulated for the
benefit of everyone.
