Check the optional rules as well for dropping garrisons of minor
states/kingdoms.
Regarding the corps, my understanding is that once you conquer a component of
the kingdom, this minor’s economy and army is removed from the kingdom’s and
assigned to the new owner.

the minor, not just control of the city, i.e. like we deal with normal minors.
If I take the city now and you take back next turn you are ok. If not you lose
it, until you get it back and add it to Westphalia.
Thats why I feel that also its factors/coprs should go away if I manage to take
it and convert it to a minor of mine.

Hanoverian army factors are notavailable for use by the Kingdom of Westphalia.
there is also this, and to my view it clarifies how each minor's army factors
should be used.and in the same paragraph, mentions factors and not corps. then
if i don't have the control of the city, this means that Hanover is not part of
the Kingdom?

If, lets say... you lose Hanover, will you have to disband its corps? I'm not
disputing that you still own Westphalia of course

11.3.3 CONQUERING THE KINGDOM OF WESTPHALIA: The componentparts of the Kingdom
of Westphalia are still treated as separate minor freestates and a ceded
province for purposes of conquering it. However, as longas the Kingdom of
Westphalia's controlling major power still controls atleast one component minor
country with corps, the Kingdom of Westphaliastill exists (consisting of
whatever territory remains)
as i get it, Prussia controls Hesse, which is a "component minor country with
corps", regardless if this corps is not present now
