I do use git at work, which means I'm aware of all this. The news for me was gitflow, which actually I consider as a best practice and naming convention, so I'm happy with what was said yesterday about it.

About our unfinished Hotfix discussion: With git there is not need
to code it twice. The process to apply a hotfix is:
1. Create a branch of the *Stable* branch, e.g. *Hotfix1*
2. Fix and commit into *Hotfix1*
3. Checkout *Stable* and**merge in *Hotfix1*
4. Checkout *master* and merge in *Hotfix1*
