Hi,
I’m hardly an experienced gardener but my thought was possibly a smoke bush
too.
It looks lovely whatever it is!

Given that the leaves have quite a rounded shape, it could be a 'smoke
tree' (Cotinus "Royal Purple"). Does it have smoke-like fluffy flower puffs
in late summer?

After zooming in and having a closer look at the leaves and the bark (as
far as it's visible), it doesn't look like a copper beech... but no idea
what it could be.

Looks like it might be a copper beech tree. A close up of the leaves or
bark would give more clues.
