Laurence,

I have a hand-held circular saw, but it is not very good - rough cuts only. However, if the pieces are less than 4ft (1.4m), then I am happy to cut them on my bench saw (which being in my cellar workshop has limited width) - if you mark them up and bring them round. Are they for alcoves? if so, should be short enough - but something I have been caught out with in the past - quite often the walls are not square and the back and front are different widths.

Cheers,

Gordon @ 31 Rossington.

Hi Laurence - I've just done the same as you - but used my handsaw in the end.

Hi

Does anyone have an electric saw I could borrow? I've had some wood delivered for shelves for our alcoves but they aren't quite the right size and I need to cut a few centimetres off if anyone can help. I have 12 to do so would be better if I don't have to do them all manually.

best
Laurence
