Ten bus services go through Hunters Bar. Do you know where they all go right
to their termini?
There are interesting and scenic walks to be had from all of them - even from
the 10/10a which is actually a circular route close to the city centre, as
well as walks from the edge of Sheffield using the Derbyshire services.
So I will be organising walks from each bus service terminus or interesting
stops over the next few months, which you are invited to join me on.
The first walk, Saturday 18th September, with Ollie the dog, will be for the
83a from Crimicar Lane near Lodge Moor, from where we will follow Rivelin
Crags to Wyming Brook, on to Redmires reservoirs and and then back along the
Redmires Conduit. On the walk we will pass the memorial bench to Nigel Bruce
Thompson who died in the World Trade Centre 9/11.

Total length 4.25 miles. Start from Hunters Bar Neill Road bus stop at
10.14am on Saturday 18th September. We will stop at Redmires reservoirs for
packed lunch. We should be back before 3pm. Note stout footwear required as
some parts of Rivelin Crags are, well, a bit craggy.
