Dear Prof,
I am very sorry to inform you that on Friday, I will be attending National
Budget Defense where I will be representing my organization here in Nigeria,
thus, I will be unable to write the exam. However, I would like to seek your
indulgence for me to reschedule my own exam for a day that will be most
convenient for me sir.
Thanks for your understanding in anticipation.

this email is for RSE students only: here are the instructions for our exam on
Friday.
1. By Wednesday 5pm Stockholm time, please create a Google document in which
you will write your answer to the exam. Make it "editable by anyone with the
link", and email me the link (haushofer@xxxxxxxxx). IMPORTANT: Please make sure
that you set the document to be "editable by anyone with the link" *before* you
send it to me. If you don't send me this document, or if the document isn't
"editable by anyone with the link" when I receive it, I will not register you
for the exam.
2. On Friday, please dial into our regular Zoom room
(https://stockholmuniversity.zoom.us/my/haushofer) 15 minutes before the
scheduled start time (8am Stockholm). Importantly, you must dial into the
meeting with TWO devices.
The first device ("main" device) needs to be a laptop or desktop computer which
sits on a desk in front of you. Its camera and sound have to be on. You can
only have three windows open on this device: the Zoom meeting; a PDF reader for
the exam instructions; and the Google docs document where you will write your
answer.
The second device can be a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. This device needs to
be dialed into the same Zoom meeting. Its camera must also be on, and it must
show you and your screen diagonally from the side and from behind. Your laptop
screen must be clearly visible on the picture recorded by this device. The
sound must be muted on this device (otherwise there will be feedback).
Please practice this setup before the exam. You might have to be a bit creative
with the second device to make sure it shows you from a good angle; e.g. you
might want to place it on a tripod. If your setup isn't working, I have to
exclude you from the exam.
3. Please make sure you are in a room by yourself, with no background noise.
There can be no open books or notes in the room; I will ask you at the
beginning to pan the camera of your second device around the room.
4. Once we begin the exam, I will share a download link for the exam
instructions in the Zoom window on your main device. You then have 3 hours to
complete the exam. Once we finish, please download a copy of the Google doc and
upload it to a Dropbox link which I will share with you during the exam. Exams
which are uploaded after the end of the exam cannot be graded.
So much for now - I hope this makes sense. Please let me know if you have any
questions.
SU students: This does not concern you; please follow the instructions of
tentamensservice for your exams.
Good luck everyone!!!
