Dear all,
The deadline for the data project is a *hard deadline*, and it's this
coming Friday, Oct 13, at 5pm. Here are the upload instructions:
1. File name convention:
Please name your files as follows, where Lastname1 and Lastname2 are the
last names of the members of your project team.
Lastname1_Lastname2_Slides.pdf (or .docx; no other formats)
Lastname1_Lastname2_Code.do (or .R; no other formats)
If you have more than one do-file, you can submit the separate files labels
as ...Code1, ...Code2, and so on. The few teams with 3 members should
expand the naming convention accordingly with Lastname3.
Remember that your grade is based on the slides and code alone, *not* on
the oral presentation. So please make sure the slides contain sufficient
information about your motivation, research question, existing literature,
analysis approach, results, interpretation, and discussion for me to base
the grade on. Also please remember that the slides should be presentable in
10 minutes.
2. Names in the code and on the slides: During grading, I will blind myself
to your names. Therefore please don't list your names on the slides or in
your code; use them only in the filenames.
3. Upload:
a. Any team involving at least one SU student:
In Athena under "Resources", you will find an assignment called "Data
project". Please upload your slides and code there. *DO NOT* also upload
the slides and code on the Dropbox folder mentioned below, even if there is
an RSE student on the team. As long as there is *at least* one SU student,
the place to upload is Athena, and only Athena.
b. Any team involving *only* RSE students:
Please upload your slides and code to this Dropbox folder:

As described above, please use this upload format only if there is *no* SU
student on the team. As soon as there is at least one SU student on the
team, the place to upload is Athena, and only Athena.
I hope this makes sense. Please follow these instructions carefully; it's a
mess for me if you don't, and I will subtract points in such cases.
