[ebooktalk] Penguin book ring a bell?

Wondered if anyone can help. About 6 months ago a book was discussed on A Good
Read. I think it was set somewhere in Europe, or at least the main character
was European. He was a man who somehow got a penguin that he was keeping in his
flat. Sorry, I can't remember anything else now about it, but if it rings a
bell with anyone, I'd really like to know the author and title of the book.
