I think I started enjoying "The Law Of Dreams" once Fergus got to Liverpool and the brothel. Hi Pele, I found I only really started to get into The Law of dreams once Fergus reached the railway. It was a bit hard going until then. Dragonwycke was a really interesting book. Although it was quite a light read and a predictible story I learned a lot about the times and how the workers were really beginning to resent the land owners. Also had some interesting food details in, which I always enjoy.
