Subject: **FIRST EMAIL**/President's Circle Video Deadline Extension
Announced!
Greetings Teams:
Paul Gudonis, President of FIRST, has extended the deadline for your
team to submit a video response to request membership in the
President's Circle. The new and final deadline is Monday, June 25
before 8 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).
Your team's video can be up to two minutes in length. It must include
your team number and name, and should include the team names and team
numbers for any teams you helped start. Beyond that, you can be as
creative as you like. Results and content are more important than
production values (see the video version of this announcement at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0ANLSgN07E, which has acceptable
content and VERY low production values.)
Paul, and his advisers at FIRST, will hold to the deadlines they set
earlier. They will do their evaluation and invite teams to join the
President's Circle by the end of the day on June 29.
From July through early September, members of the President's Circle
will focus on identifying the "best practices" of team recruiting and
how best to share them with the FIRST Community. From September
through December, members of the President's Circle will focus on
sharing the best practices and teaching other teams how to recruit effectively.
President's Circle team representatives will be invited to the
Founder's Reception at Dean Kamen's house the night before the 2008
FRC Kickoff and to the Kickoff broadcast location in Manchester.
