Hi Don,
Actually, the removal of the “Save As…” BRF was intentional, and done at the
request of many teachers who discovered some were using it as means of cheating.

Hi Renee,
You can use the Perky Duck software. It is a trimmed-down version of Duxbury
DBT that does only basic input, printing, and embossing.
You can get it at the following URL: https://www.duxburysystems.com/perky.asp
If, for some reason, Perky Duck does not work for you, you can also use the
BrailleZephyr program from APH.
You can get BrailleZephyr from the following URL:
https://brailleblaster.org/braillezephyr.php
Both Perky Duck and BrailleZephyr are free.
From an end-user standpoint, the principal difference between Perky Duck and
BrailleZephyr is that BrailleZephyr does not have 'line wrap' -- you will have
to add a carriage return at the end of every line. It is also the case that
the most recent version of Perky Duck will save in Duxbury's DXB format, but
not in BRF. BrailleZephyr will save in BRF.
Hope this helps!
