If you are talking about a Word document, and tabs, margins and page layout in
particular, you need to look at the Word document with your screen reader,
because some of the information is lost or altered when Duxbury imports it.
Examples: You will know if there are running headers or footers in your Duxbury
copy, but you won’t know exactly, to the fraction of an inch, where they were
being placed on the print pages. Duxbury will reproduce Tab characters (where
someone pushed the Tab key) but not what kind of tab stop it went to (left,
centered, or even how many inches from the left margin in the print copy). You
won’t know swhether a layout is in portrait or landscape mode, nor what margins
have been set. Duxbury preserves the information you will need to make a good
braille version of the document, but you really can’t use it to give you all of
the information about how the print document was formatted.

Please forgive the “sometimers”, if I asked this question previously. I was
wanting to know if there is a way for finding out the settings i.e. tabs, etc.
in a print document via DBT. Many thanks, and apologies if this was asked
