A person has posted a Braille Blazer for $275 or best offer on ebay. As of right now, no bids on it. Check it out at this link: http://www.blindbargains.com/bargains.php?m=2966 If she can pick this Blazer up, and download Perky Duck six key entry program for a computer from Duxbury (which is free), she is in business. She can purchase 8-1/2x11 inch tractor fed continuous feed braille paper from American Thermoform or APH for about 25 to 30 dollars for a box of 1,000 sheets. She can also purchase the 8-1/2x11 inch clear braille label sheet which are peel and stick from the same two places. Thomas G. Poulk Director, Materials Production Dept. She has severe Arthritis in her hands, but her right hand is better than her left. The Artiritis is making it difficult to use the Perkins Brailler. What I'm looking for is ideas on a solution where she could type out with one hand or dictate what she needs too, and get hard copy or Refreshable Braille. She's got a computer. I thought of either JAWS with Jaysay and Dragon Naturally Speaking with Duxbury and an embosser, or, a Braille Note with one handed mode. These solutions will cost her, depending on what she already owns from about $3,600 up to $6,100. Does anyone have other ideas that would help this person?
