DBT doesn't recognize ine endings or page endings in .brf files created by
notetakers. To get around this, open the documents as "Duxbury coded
braille."

Subject: [duxuser] PACMate and brf files

:
:
: Hi there!
:
: I created some of my class notes and summaries on my PACMate and now I
: would like to get them embossed. The only way in which I can do this
: is by opening the file in Duxbury and then embossing it from there,
: since the embosser we're using can't connect with the PACMate. All is
: fine up to thiis point.
:
: If I open the brf file in duxbury, it opens the file using the
: formatted braille importer which is fine, but then... It gives me a
: message that says that the page depth and width are exceeded. Then it
: opens the file, but when I emboss the file it only embosses up to 40
: characters per line and then stops for that line and continues with a
: new line. Consequently, the longer sentences are not embossed
: completely.
:
: I checked the embosser settings on the PACMate and in Duxbury, they
: are the same, but yet, the embossed file is not thee brf file on the
: screen.
:
: I'm using DBT 10.5. Isn't there a way in which I can tell Duxbury to
: put to long lines in more than one line.
:
: Hope I'm making sence.
: Thanks
: T
