Hoping a fellow New Zealander or a DBT wizard can help me here.
When I prepare documents for my own use using DBT, I prefer to use the
supplied BANA UEB template. But there are occasions when I want to manually
insert our macron so that I correctly follow rules for Māori. For the rest
of the world, the macron emphasises long vowel sounds for correct
pronunciation. Because the macron is used frequently here, we have a
different symbol to that used in other languages.
I envisage using the .dxp editor to generate the insertion and to check its
correctness on my Braille display. Happy to use Word if that is
recommended.
The final output is usually always a Braille hardcopy.
