Hi George
I am using template "English (UEB) - UK formatting".
But if the Grade 1 indicator is not used then won't the reader think it is
saying "but"?
Many thanks

Hi Janine,
Which Template are you using?
I have however obtained an answer to your first question. The Grade 1
Indicator is not required here provided the letter and numbers are unspaced.

Subject: [duxuser] Formatting/styles
Hi All DBT Users
I have come across a few things regarding formatting lately and wanted to see
if anyone else has had the same issue.
1. Acronym style
For example "b123" does not put the grade 1 indicator even when set as an
acronym style in word and also shows "<acronym>" in the code in DBT.
Another example is "CD", when set as an acronym and has correct code it IGNORES
it and does not put in the grade 1 indictor. But when NOT set as an acronym in
word it puts it in automatically.
Why is DBT ignoring the style that I set in word, even when coding appears
correct in DBT.
2. Grade 1 word within Grade 2 Braille
There was a document that I produced and the word "wish" was written in Grade 1
Braille although the document was translated into Grade 2 Braille. Anyone else
come across this? I know it is not a big deal as it was still readable, but
ideally it should not happen.
3. Gaps after some styles
Big gaps after some headings and bullet lists that are pre-set in word.
Sometimes it just has 1 line of Braille on a page and pushed the rest onto a
new page. I am having to amend the layout within DBT itself, this is not ideal
for me as I work on all documents in word first - so I am kind of formatting
the document twice.
It would be lovely to hear if anyone else has had these issues or maybe if DBT
know themselves and are possibly working on an update?
Many thanks in advance.
Janine
