MathType 6 Deprecation Announcement
Dear Reseller,
We are writing to inform you that all versions previous to MathType 7 (from now
on MathType 6.x) are being deprecated. This means that they are no longer
commercialized or supported. Wiris has made the decision to deprecate MathType
6.x, a product that has not been updated since 2018, to uphold consistent
product quality and safety across all our offerings.
The date for MathType 6.x deprecation is set for October 1, 2023.
To facilitate this process, we kindly request your cooperation in ensuring a
smooth transition by following the steps outlined below:
1. Remove all MathType 6.x download links: Please review your website and any
other platforms where you may be providing MathType or related information, and
ensure any related links to MathType 6.x are not published anymore.
2. Inform interested customers: In case any of your customers expresses
interest in MathType 6.x, we ask you to communicate its end-of-life status and
encourage them to upgrade to the latest version of MathType.
