If you want 38 characters per line then your embosser needs to be set to 38 also. Or, you can set a binding margin of 2, max characters per line of 40 and desired characters to 38.

Hi list,
I'm using an Index Basic-D embosser and am having trouble embossing files from Web Braille. As the FAQ on Web Braille suggested, I have Duxbury set to do
38 characters per line and 25 lines per page. Max parameters are set to 40 characters per line and 26 lines per page. However, page numbers are still showing
up in odd places and are hardly ever where they are supposed to be. Is there another setting in Duxbury or on the embosser itself that I should try changing?
