Hi Margaret,

Most embossers will emboss labels, but that's only part of the exercise.

Unless for very occasional use, the labels you use absolutely must have a
synthetic backing sheet.  This is to prevent the embossing pins from
breaking through the backing and building up adhesive on them.  If build up
does occur, it can be a costly repair.

We (i.e. Techno-Vision) do have self-adhesive continuous sprocket feed
labels which when removed are approximately 8.5 inched wide by 11 inches
deep, and have become quite popular for use with childrens' books.

George.

Subject: [duxuser] Embossers to make sticky labels??

Greetings Folks

This is not particularly a Duxbury question, but I thought someone out there
might help me.

Does anyone know of an embosser that can produce sticky labels?

Do you have any experience of making sticky labels via an embosser? What did
you find worked best? What didn't work so well?

Look forward to your advice.

All the best
