Hello Dennis,
The code for a hard line break is the < sign. Use the same method as
described in my previous post.

Hello Steve,
thank you for your explanation.
One question about this:
What do I have to type in the searchfield when I want to remove a blanc
line? (2 times enter)?

Hello Dennis,
In DBT, tabs and blank lines are usually caused by codes in the document.
Not having seen the document you're trying to edit, I can't be absolutely
sure what you'll find, but I can offer the following suggestions:
1. In order to find/replace codes, they need to be visible, so in the
open document, press Shift-F3 to reveal the codes.
2. Position the cursor at the top of the document and press F6 to bring
up the Find/Replace dialog. Your cursor will be in the Find edit box, where
you should press F9. This will cause a left and right bracket to appear in
the edit box with your cursor positioned between the brackets. To search for
a tab code, type a > sign (Shift-period). To look for a hard line break,
type a < sign (Shift-comma).
3. Then, tab through the dialog until you land on OK and press Enter.
Note that since you're removing line breaks or tabs, you don't need to fill
in the Replace field.
4. You will then be given the choice to replace a single item or
replace them all. Choose the one you want and press Enter.
That's it; you're done. Note that you'll have to perform the above sequence
twice, once for tabs and once for line breaks.

Subject: [duxuser] DBT: Search and replace
Hi all,
after some years I'm back in this group. This is because I've got some
questions.
For your information:
I live in The Netherlands and my English is not very well. I'll do my best!!
Here's my first question:
I've got a document with a lot of tabs and blanc lines. How can I remove
them with the search and replace function?
Kind regards,
Met vriendelijke groet,
