Hi there,
Off-list reply here.
Could you send me both the pre-translated and translated Duxbury files as an
attachment please, along with a note about approximately what page the problem
starts on?
I’ll try and see if I can figure out what’s going on.

George: Not that I am aware of. The really weird thing is that the document,
which consists of approximately 35 braille pages, is fine until I get to the
last 2 to 3 pages. And some of the symbols, which are correct in the print
text, my screen reader (JAWS) will read something different. For example, in
the print, the word “light” will be read as lyeett. And as I go through the
actual word, character by character, it will have the correct contractions. As
I said, really weird. Thanks.

Hi Jerry,
Have you accidentally turned on View: Codes
Alt F3 is a toggle which turns then on and/or off.
Or you can go to DBT’s View Menu and click Codes there.

Subject: [duxuser] DBT Braille document losing its mind.
Hello. I am working on a dbt braille document. When I use JAWS to read the
text, it gives me some really weird symbols. However, when I arrow through the
document, I get a combination of symbols, along with the correct braille
symbols. I toggle between the actual print text and the braille document to
make certain that the document is being translated correctly, but it is
extremely annoying. Any thoughts as to why this is happening? Thanks.
Jerry
