Hi Keith,

I believe the issue of spaces and long names has been resolved in 10.5,
but I will check.

As regards Word to DBT direct, look at 10.4's Help files for SWIFT.
That's just what it does - and more.

Subject: [duxuser] Changing Default Directories

Hi,

My last message about changing a default directory was a draft. It was
accidentally sent. I was going to look at the exact address of the
folder on the network before sending it.

I think the problems I am having is because of the space in the path.
There is one space between my first and last name. It goes something
like
this:

 S:\school\teachersFolders\Keith Christian\DBTDocs\

In Windows Explorer, I am not able to press enter on the file and have
it load. The file associations have been made.
The error I get says the system can not locate the folder

s:\school\teacherFolder\Keith. It drops off the rest of the path which
is a space my last name\dbtdocs. Is this fixable? I would really like
to have all the computers in my class point to the same folder on the
server so moving around is no a problem.

I know the spaces in the path are causing the problem of not being
able to go from Word to Duxbury with the Swift shortcut. I wish the
space problem that I am having with the SWIFT short cut in the path name
could be fixed. Perhaps it is addressed in Duxbury 10.5?

My students are working on word processing. Being able to go from
Word directly to Duxbury or embossing directly would be nice. But that
is a separate issue.

 Thanks for any tips.

 Keith
