Hi Debby and George
George: Shouldn’t the code perform its function, regardless of what template is
being used? (In this case, testing it with coding from the UKAAF template.)
The description in the Help section shows the runover on the new page in cell 1
rather than cell 3, which is exactly what I want, so my confusion is about why
the runover is going to cell 3 instead.
Debby: I am confused. I am sure that I am missing what you are trying to tell
me.
The [para] is just to show that the text starts in cell 3 and runs over to cell
1.
I’m just trying to say that the runover to the new page appears in cell 3
rather than cell 1 and have no idea why (error in code or something I’m
missing?).
What do you mean by “I often use numbered paragraphs when line spacing or first
line/runover don’t translate exactly as I’d like.”
An example of what you mean would be most helpful.
George and Debby: Many thanks for your replies. I appreciate your time. Just
trying to make sense of it all …

Hi Debbie & Margaret,
Please bear in mind that the UK does not use the BANA Template which relates to
the Braille Authority of North American’s layout rules.

Margaret,
Rather than “para” you might use number coding.
“As coded above ...“ would be 3-1, quote. Yours sincerely...…“ would be 1-1 or
1-3.
I often use numbered paragraphs when line spacing or first line/runover don’t
translate exactly as I’d like.

Greetings
Anyone used kbs1 and kbe to keep the last line of a letter together with a
signature block?
The codes keep the text together, but the runover is in cell 3 rather than cell
1.
In the example below, the start code appears before the final word “here”
[para]Thank you for thinking of us on this occasion and for sending something
to us [kbs1] here.
Yours sincerely
Joe Bloggs
Head of Operations[kbe]
As coded above, “sending something to us here.” and the signature block appear
at the top of the next page, but starting in cell 3.
Removing the 1 results in only the word “here.” (in cell 1 of the first line of
the new page) and the signature block on the next page.
The desire is for “sending something to us here.” in cell 1 of line 1 of the
new page, followed by the signature block.
