Thank you George! I swear that I tried that and found it not to work,
_but_ now when I enter a file in print letters or directly in six-key
braille it offers those menu items.
And so we now see that the real problem is the *loose nut on my keyboard*...

Hi,
I am positive this is an embarrassingly simple issue but it has me quite
puzzled!
I have a copy of DBT 11.1 SR4 running on Win10 64-bit.
The menu items for spell checking (that is, 'Edit / Spell Check...' and
'Edit / Find Misspelling') are disabled. The keyboard shortcuts are also
not available.
While I intend to upgrade this version of DBT to take advantage of the
newest UEB functionality, in the meantime I would be grateful for a bit of
coaching to figure out this simple bit.
