Yes, the st sign crosses a syllable. To my knowledge, an st
sign has n ever been correct in the word mistake.

Subject: [duxuser] A question about braille syntax

I have been working with a couple of PacMate machines for
evaluation purposes and have come across a couple of things
which make me wonder just how far behind the times I am in
braille.

The word mistake is being translated without the ST
contraction. My wife, being British already has some strange
ideas about correct braille however we both thought ST would
have been appropriate. It occurred to me that You guys would
probably be the authorities.

About the only reasoning we could come up with is that the
ST in mistake crosses a syllable. IS this correct?

I have not been able to see how Duxbury translates it yet,
my version is
10.3 and sadly the media is corrupted except hopefully for
one copy which I hope to be able to recover from a back-up
stored on a work network machine but not immediately
available to me as we just installed a replacement machine
yesterday.

Thanks for any wisdom.
