I just wanted to mention that UEB and Nemeth are reading formats that are
not automatically familiar to braille readers or their teachers. In many
cases it might be a kindness to include in your documents a list of the
new symbols that a person would encounter. I remember that in grammar
school and high school the math books did contain Nemeth code but nobody
ever took the trouble to teach us to read it. We learned by trial and
error jand we never learned to write it. Perhaps Duxbury can recommend
some symbols lists that transcribers could incorporate into their braille
documents. It might make a world of difference.
