Hi Betsy, If you have a copy of OpenOffice.org it might be worth seeing if that Office Suite (which is free for individual use) can read the file. If it can (our IT peeps use it to recover corrupted word documents) then save it as a Word 2003 document type and hopefully all should be well. If not then it would appear to have become corrupt somehow. If on a memory stick then use Freespire Live - you just might get it back! Regards, John. -----Original Message----- From: duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:duxuser-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Betsy Whitney, Dolphin Press Sent: 21 September 2008 22:19 To: duxuser-freelists.org Subject: [duxuser] A Puzzle Aloha, I have a file that is supposed to be a Word 2003 document type. When I open the file, using the PC JAWS cursor, I find nothing. If I turn on the JAWS cursor, I can read the file. However, when I try to take it to DBT, there is nothing in the file. Any ideas? TIA Betsy Teamwork: Together we achieve the extraordinary. * * * * This message is via list duxuser at freelists.org. * To unsubscribe, send a blank message with * unsubscribe * as the subject to <duxuser-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>.
