What scanning software are you using?
It's not a problem I've heard of, and sounds most unusual.

Anybody else experience this:
The Acquire Text option does not appear under the File Menu unless I
first click on anything on the Help Menu--that's all: just click on a
Help item and close it again.
It's only a small nuisance, but I want to know why it happens.
