Joe tells me that he's fixed this, on April 26 of this year, though I don't
think that this was previously reported on-list. Moreover, I'm confused
that your report came in afterward. Were you reporting a problem with the
beta?

According to the rules, whenever there's an accent on an e in -ed,
like glancéd or piercéd, the "ed" sign should contract. It currently does
not.
